I’m Kristen. A twenty-something with a passion for food, crafting, canning, and all things DIY. As the name of my blog suggests, I kind of just fell into all this stuff. If you had asked me at 19 what I would be doing at this point in my life, I would have laughed at you. Although, as I have started canning and making things like butter from scratch because I believe it tastes better, my mother has said that I remind her of my great-grandmother. So, I guess it has been in me all along, I just needed to find it. And now that I have, I love it. I get excited thumbing through the “Ball Complete Book of Preserving” and I practically jump for joy when the newest issue of “Cooking Light” arrives in my mailbox. I live an exciting life people! I share my life with my awesome husband and our 4 dogs who I am borderline obsessed with. Ok, ok, in all reality if anyone heard the conversations I have when I’m alone with them I would most likely be on my way to the nearest psychiatric facility.

My goal is to bring you straightforward recipes and tutorials without super long rambling’s about my life that don’t really pertain to the topic. Because lets all be honest, you don’t really care and that’s not why you’re here.

*I am not a photographer. I’m working on making pretty food pictures. Bear with me while I get my act together…there’s a chance that may never happen, but i’m working on it.

  1. Hello, I’m Danny, I would say I’m a foodie in that I love cooking and putting my own spin on traditional recipes. I do share your joy when the monthly food and recipe magazine comes in the mail. I’ve always wanted to do a blog and have tried but never really found a platform to use in which I enjoyed. I’d like to one day try to make some type of money doing what I love, cooking! However I don’t want to be a chef for I’m not much for long hours or working nights and weekends! I’m newly married so perhaps that’s why. Anyways, the purpose of me contacting you is to just introduce myself and ask how you got started. So, with that being said could you recommend any good blog sites I could start with or apps you like for storing recipes? Thank you for being an inspiration and I look forward to hearing from you.

      I use Pinterest a lot to share my recipes and I’m also on Instagram. I know a lot of bloggers use Facebook as well to promote their sites. I had a week off of work around the holidays and started looking into various web hosting sites, registered a domain name, and paid for 3 years. I personally use greengeeks, my husband runs a fly fishing website and he uses godaddy. From there I set up wordpress and started my blog.
